My favorite photo from June

I know I can't do a photo of the day like some people, but I think it might be a fun to do my favorite photo of the month. I took this picture in New Orleans on June 3rd. Which meant that I just didn't encounter anything as moving as that was. But it is pretty hard to live up to.

But I really feel like I captured the energy and intensity of the parade in this image. There is something fierce but fun-loving in the stance and I'm really happy that I grabbed it with pixels.

This is an easy one.

Getting married in New Orelans surrounded by four of the most wonderful people on my earth and then having a fan-fucking-tastic dinner at NOLA*.

*NOLA is one of Emeril Lagasse's restaraunts and is in the French Quarter. Yes, his show is annoying with all the "bam!" and the "kick it up a notch", but every meal I've had at one of his restaraunts has been an amazing culinary experience with absolutely wonderful service, high quality wines all at very reasonable prices. We had dinner for 6 with three bottles of wine, several appetizers, and everyone had their own entree and dessert and the bill came out to be about $50 per person, which is about what we would have paid for "wedding chicken" and "grocery store wine" if we'd had a traditional wedding in a boring banquet hall.

So I suggest going to New Orleans, eating at NOLA or one of his other restaraunts, and if you go to NOLA, ask for Thaddeus. He was quite possibly the best server I've had with his perfect amounts of service and sass.
